KSM-66® is a standardized, full-spectrum extract made from ashwagandha root. Chaly provides 600 milligrams per daily serving, matching the amount used in several human clinical trials.

In randomized, placebo-controlled research, KSM-66® at 600 milligrams per day has been associated with improvements in perceived stress and sleep quality, along with reductions in serum cortisol—the hormone involved in the body’s stress response.

That is especially relevant during menopause, when feeling “tired but wired” can become frustratingly familiar. Stress may make it harder to fall asleep, poor sleep can make stress feel more intense, and the cycle repeats.

KSM-66® has also been studied at 300 milligrams twice daily—600 milligrams total—in healthy women. In these trials, women reported improvements across several measures of sexual well-being, including desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm and satisfaction.

That does not mean one ingredient can override every physical, emotional or relationship factor that influences libido. It does mean Chaly’s support for stress, sleep and sexual well-being is connected to research on the same ingredient and the same daily amount used in the formula.

affron® Saffron Extract: 28 Milligrams Daily

affron® is a standardized saffron extract made from Crocus sativus. Chaly provides 28 milligrams per day, the amount repeatedly used in human clinical studies examining mood, stress and sleep-related outcomes.

In a randomized, placebo-controlled trial involving women experiencing perimenopause, 28 milligrams of affron® daily for 12 weeks was associated with greater improvements in psychological and mood-related symptoms compared with placebo. The study did not find a significant advantage for hot flashes or other physical menopausal symptoms, making the mood-related findings the most relevant takeaway.

Other clinical trials using 28 milligrams per day have reported improvements in negative mood and symptoms associated with everyday stress. Studies in adults with sleep concerns have also found improvements in measures of sleep quality.

More recently, a 2026 randomized, placebo-controlled study evaluated 28 milligrams of affron® daily in women ages 50 to 70 experiencing low mood and poor sleep. After 12 weeks, the affron® group showed greater improvements in mood-related scores, self-esteem and sleep-related daytime functioning than the placebo group.
